The Folly Brothers are a Leamington Spa-based bluegrass trio consisting of brothers Mark Roden (acoustic guitar) and Jonny Roden (banjo), and Wes Stanton (double bass).
Going down a storm on the festival circuit, and having amassed BBC Introducing success, the trio’s style of Americana fused with progressive bluegrass has made them popular with devotees of the genre as well as party- and gig-goers. They successfully blend a modern country twang with rollicking bluegrass which has stirred up the UK roots circuit.
“The trio delves into a gritty, rootsy mélange full of sweeping licks, pumping bass lines and tasty harmonies, successfully blending a modern country twang with rollicking bluegrass.”
– Steve Harvey, editor, Acoustic Magazine
Their debut album Bridge 101, is out on 20 August 2016
